Multicolor slate is basically a greenish gray colored slate with golden & rust colored marks. Multicolor slate is universally adored and appreciated due to its color and price. Multicolor slate tends to cleave very cleanly when it is split which renders a very smooth surface. Its color variation consists of grays, tans, and deep rusts and ochre’s, but in a very specific way. Unique to Multicolor slate are the bands of color that typically go between the grey and tan colors.

Multicolor slate while not suitable for exterior applications is suitable for all residential interior applications. For commercial, interior wall applications are best. The natural cleft surface of the stone exposes the rugged beauty, while the carefully calibrated back makes it easy to install. Multicolor slate stone has a beauty, which could be used for visual harmony with the stone buildings and for the dry stone walls. It is also suitable for both interior and exterior decorating applications.
